Helga Parkinson Obituary

In Loving Memory of Helga Erika Parkinson
Born on 5 June 1938 in Neustadt a.d. Aisch Germany, she was raised by her parents Georg and Apolonia Käferlein, and was a sister to her brother Ernst and two sisters Anni and Betty. She loved the outdoors: hiking in nature, riding bikes in the forest, going for swims, and dancing to good music with her girlfriends. She was a proud, strong woman who worked hard all her life. Her greatest pride and accomplishments came from being an incredible mother to 3 beautiful children who were the light of her life and she was their sunshine. She would go on many travels all around the world – Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Honduras, Holland and more; she loved exploring new cities with her family and friends where her humor and laughter always brought a smile to everyone’s faces. Her strong faith in God taught her to lead by example where by her strong German work ethic, she taught herself English from listening to her kids and became an American citizen – one of her proudest moments. Her selflessness, words of wisdom and moral compass were a guiding light to her Familie. On Sunday, April 25th, 2021, she was welcomed as an angel in heaven by her many loved ones where she watches over her Familie and closest friends who became Familie. Her legacy endures in the lives of her children: Floyd, with wife ChunRong and daughter Sasha, Johanne, with husband Joe and children Erika and Alex, and MariJain, with daughters Kellie and Julia. In loving memory she will be missed and treasured forever – Geliebt in alle Ewigkeit!
