James Edward Waddell, 81, of Paragould, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at his residence. He was born October 18, 1936, in Covington, Tennessee to Rosa Mabel Mashburn and John Y. Waddell. James enjoyed hunting and farming. He was an outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary (Judy) Waddell, and brothers, Troy and Eugene Waddell.
Survivors include his son and daughter in law, James Christopher and Mary Carter; daughters and sons in law, Janet Colleen and Steve Harris, Karen Melanie and Brian Cox; grandchildren, Shawna Fry, Michael Stewart, Tracey Pak, Eric Carter, Jacob Harris, Tausha Brown, Logan Cox, Zachery Vowell, Erin Dacus, and Seth Cox; and 15 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 22, from 1 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will being at 2 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Terry Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Lorado Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Jacob Harris, Michael Stewart, Zach Vowell, Logan Cox, Eric Carter, and Tracey Pak. Honorary pallbearers include Robert Pak, John Carter, Steve Harris, Brian Cox, Tim Fry, Josh Brown, Ron Shoupe, and Billy Nicholas, Jr.
