Janie Ford Brogdon, 74, of Paragould, passed away January 29, 2020. She was born in Light, Arkansas, on April 30, 1945, to W.T. (Ted) and Pearlie Ford. She loved to sew, cook, and loved making things for others. She also enjoyed talking about her two trips to Africa for medical missions while working for Dr. Hardcastle. Janie was a member of Pine Knott Church of Christ.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Teddy Joe Ford; her loving husband of 57 years, Charles Brogdon; and her dachshund, Rosie Jane.
She is survived by one son, Allen (Ashley) Brogdon of Ash Flat; two daughters, Toni (Brant) Johns of Paragould, and Tracy (Brad) Hendrickson of St. Louis; 12 grandkids; 7 great-grandkids; brothers, Andy (Alice) Ford, Russell Ford, and Jim (Phyllis) Ford; aunt, Jimmie Lou Lyles; and her cocker spaniel, Cookie.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, at Pine Knott Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time at Pine Knott Cemetery.
Brant Johns, Allen Brogdon, Brad Hendrickson, Vernon Mack Ford, Marty Browning, and Gary McCord will serve as pallbearers. All of her grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
