Jimmy Dale McMillon

Jimmy Dale McMillon, 74, of Paragould, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Jim was born November 18, 1948, in Paragould, AR. He graduated from Greene County Tech and was a former City Councilman, Jaycee, and Mason. He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. During his fight with cancer, he retired from Glen Sain Chevrolet after a long, successful career selling cars. He loved to fix things such as old jukeboxes, pinball machines, pool tables, and any small thing. He loved spending time with his wife and family.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Ell and Mary McMillon; sisters, Louise Wenning, Shirley Adams, Cora Mae McMillon, Demondra Jean McMillon; and a Wonder Woman daughter, Melana McMillon.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 53 years, Mona McMillon; daughter, Shawna (Chris) Grooms; sisters, Anna Faye Fraizer, Elwanda Meadows, Pat Stallcup; grandchildren, C. J. Slatton, Hannah (Seth) Berryhill, Blaine and Brylee Grooms; and great-granddaughter, Presley Forbs.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 3, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Ron Pickney officiating. Burial will follow at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery.

Chris Grooms, Blaine Grooms, Daniel Hensley, Terry Easton, Jerry Easton, Seth Berryhill, Hayden Hartsfield, and Evan Freeman will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Roy Davenport, Russ Cole, Randall Graves, and Lonnie Vester.
