Kelley Maag was born in Paragould, Arkansas on June 9, 1959 and passed from this life in Rector, Arkansas on August 31, 2023 at the age of 64.
Kelley worked for many years for Walmart, Glen Sain Motors, and Dr. Pepper Bottling Company. He loved history and was a Civil War buff. He was an avid fan of the St Louis Cardinals, the Arkansas Razorbacks, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Kelley loved golfing, hunting, fishing and all types of sports. He coached both of his daughters’ softball and basketball teams and for years was involved in Paragould’s Boys Club Football.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda McCall and brother, Rodney Maag.
Survivors include his wife, Tara Maag of Paragould, two daughters, Rachel Maag of Roswell, New Mexico and Zoe Maag of Jonesboro, his father and stepmother, Gale and Peggy Maag of Paragould, his stepfather, Lloyd McCall of Ash Flat, Arkansas, his brother, Stan Maag (Angie) of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, his sister, Jennifer Maag Adams of Wichita, Kansas, his granddaughters, Baylor and Eden Maag of Roswell New Mexico, a large extended family and a host of friends.
Kelley was a member of the Commissary Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 4, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Art Smith officiating and Cade Smith leading the song service. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery.
