Kelley Lynn Mangrum, 56, passed away peacefully at his home in Walcott, Arkansas, on Monday, October 25, 2021. Kelley was born on July 29, 1965, in Paragould, Arkansas, to June and Larry Mangrum. Kelley was a 1983 graduate of Greene County Tech High School. He owned and operated his trucking and excavating company alongside his son, Josh for 20 years and worked a total of 38 years in the trucking industry. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was one of the most giving people you could ever meet. Kelley was the type of person that never met a stranger and he loved being helpful to his family and friends. He was a successful dirt track race car driver, winning numerous championships over the years. Kelley was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Kelley is survived by his parents, Larry and June Mangrum; sons and daughters in law, Jeremy and Jamie Mangrum of Fayetteville, AR, Josh and Rachael Mangrum of Walcott, AR; daughter and son in law, Sara and Brock Bayird of Jonesboro, AR; brother, Clinton Mangrum (Misty); sister, Carla Burton (Cory); and grandchildren, Luke Mangrum, Jacob Mangrum, Tanner Carr, Linkoln Mangrum, Jayce Mangrum, Ripley Bayird, Nora Bayird, and Lydia Bayird.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 28, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Friday, October 29, at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Marty Ezell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Cole Mangrum, Casey Mangrum, Levi Pillow, Nick Green, Charlton Cupp, and Scotty Mace will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Scott Walker, C. B. McCamey, and Warren Fender.
