Larry J. Walker was called to Heaven on February 2, 2021. He was born June 16, 1948, to loving parents Wade and Betty Walker of Mounds.
As a Marine, he served his county in Vietnam. Larry was a member of Marmaduke First Baptist Church and Road to the Cross Cowboy Church. He founded Little Horse Ministries to help with the Children’s Miracle Rodeo and the Marmaduke Western Club. Larry was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kay Walker; his partner in crime, Hillary; two daughters, Evett Keasler of the home and Wendy Childres of Marmaduke; two granddaughters, Haleigh Arant of Paragould, Kendra Brooke of Marmaduke; two grandsons, Kaleb Michael and Kaden of Marmaduke; five brothers, Allen, Terry, and Jim of Marmaduke, Dan of Paragould, and Clint of Piggott; three sisters, Joella of Marmaduke, Paula and Nancy of Paragould; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Betty Walker; one brother, Bill Walker; two sisters, Patsy Harvey and Barb Walker; and one grandson, Conner Childres.
A memorial service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 5, at Marmaduke First Baptist Church with Kim Bridges officiating.
