Charles “Little Charlie” Lyles, 64, passed from this life on August 27, 2021, surrounded by his family at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born June 27, 1957, in St. Louis, MO, to J.R. and Lillie Barham Lyles. Charlie retired from Emerson Electric after 36 years of employment where he made many lifelong friends. He was a loving husband, father, PaPaw, and friend. Charlie was an active member of Pine Knot Church of Christ where he was a faithful servant to the Lord. He enjoyed many things in his life. His favorites being Razorback sports, Cardinal baseball, hunting, working in the garden, fishing, spending time with his family, and collecting anything he found valuable. His grandkids were his world and he never missed a sporting event. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh, whether he was telling one of his corny jokes or playing a practical joke, he was a joy to be around. He loved being around people, never met a stranger, and always had a story to tell.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mary Lyles; sons, Josh Lyles (Brandy), Jay Lyles (Sarah); daughter, Jodie Price (Chad); brothers, Jesse Lyles, Stevie Lyles; sisters, Peggy Remagen (Steve), Patricia Gamblin; and grandchildren, Josh Adams, Kylee Lyles, Oliver Lyles, Hannah Lyles, and Piper Price.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 30, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral home with David Flanery officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Knot Cemetery.
