Margie Marie Carter of Marmaduke, Arkansas was called to her eternal home on November 22, 2021. She was born on April 18, 1941, to the late John and Myrtle Timms.
Margie’s main occupation was a homemaker, but she was so much more, she was the home. She was the backbone of her family and the most sacrificial person that you could ever hope to meet. She gave her all to her family and friends and loved them dearly. She left a legacy of being a servant to so many and never putting herself first. She loved big, she loved fiercely and would make sure you knew how she felt about you. She loved to share Jesus with her family and friends and made it known that a relationship with Jesus was the most important thing you could do with your life. She was truly the example of what a sacrificial life was all about… She deserves an arm full of roses, but she’s satisfied with a handful of weeds. No truer words from a song could describe her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifton Carter, Sr.; son, Clinton Edward Carter; and grandson, Jonathan Healy; brothers, Delbert Timms, Euell Timms, Billy Timms, Jackie Timms, Nolan Timms, Lonnie Timms; sisters, Marlyn Timms, Partricia Winford, and Wanda Beaty.
Survivors include her son, Clifton Carter, Jr. (Darla); daughters, Penny Johnson (Kenard), Tammy Carter; siblings, Brenda Stotts, Shirley Knatcal; grandchildren, Zachary Carter (Chelsea), Elijah Carter (Morgan), and Kailee Zorn (Matt); and great-grandchildren, Austin Healy, Katelyn Healy, Paisley Carter, Presley Carter, and Jonathan Zorn.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 23, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Marmaduke First Baptist Church. The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 24, at 10:00A.M. at Marmaduke First Baptist Church with Kenneth Hargrave and Kim Bridges officiating. Burial to follow at Harvey’s Chapel Cemetery.
