Mary Ann Smith (née Landers),76, of St. Louis, MO (Peach Orchard, AR) passed away on November 6, 2020 in Rineyville, KY.
Mary Ann was born in Detroit, MI to Albert Landers and Mary Landers (née Toler) on September 23, 1944. She married Daniel Wayne Smith on May 1, 1961 in Peach Orchard, AR.
Mary Ann retired from the Department of Defense in 2006 with over 30 years of federal service. During her retirement she was able to pursue her love of sewing and music, as well as devoting herself to her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Oakville, MO.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son Wayne.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughters, Cassandra Smith-Fields (Will) and Donna Brandt (Tim). She is also survived by six grandchildren: Amanda (Brandt) Perkins (Tim), Michael Brandt (Maria), Zachary Brandt (Taylor), Rose Fields, Jessica Brandt and William Fields; and three great grandchildren: Amelia Perkins, Jacob Perkins and Leah Brandt. Her surviving family also includes two beloved sisters in law, Barbara McKelvey and Patricia Lenderman (Hulen).
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2020, with funeral services immediately following at the Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould, Arkansas with Paul Barnhardt officiating. Social Distancing and masks will be in place.
Sunset grave side service and burial will follow at the Corning Cemetery in Corning, AR.
Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
