Maxine Bryson Obituary

Wava Maxine Bryson, known to all as Maxine, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023, at the age of 84. Born on April 1, 1939, in a loving home to Ralph and Effie Denham, Maxine was raised with strong values that she carried throughout her life. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Adrian Denham, Raymond Denham, Margaret Brougham, Bernice Powers, Ruby Pillow, and an infant sister. She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Carlton Bryson, her loving children, Keith (Joni) Bryson and Cindy (Sonny) Childs, her caring sister, Nina (Bob) Edrington, her adoring grandchildren, Alison (Michael) Eskew, Christina (Josh) Parrish, Bryson (Victoria) Childs, and Gabriel Childs, and her cherished great-grandchildren, Auden Eskew, Judah Childs, Ivy Eskew, and Noah Eskew.

Maxine was a lifelong and active member of Center Hill Church of Christ, where she cultivated a deep and unwavering faith. Her commitment to her church community was evident in her involvement in various ministries, where she selflessly gave her time and energy to support those in need. Maxine's faith was a source of inspiration to her family and friends, and her gentle spirit and caring nature will be remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her dedication to her church, Maxine was a talented quilter, creating beautiful and intricate pieces that will be treasured by her family for generations to come. She also enjoyed completing puzzles, a pastime that brought her both relaxation and a sense of accomplishment. Maxine's love for these hobbies was only surpassed by her love for her family, with whom she shared countless hours of laughter and joy. Maxine was a true family woman, who took great pride in her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her love and guidance had a profound impact on the lives of her children and grandchildren, who will cherish the memories they made with her. Maxine's daughter and granddaughters, in particular, spent countless hours by her side, creating a bond that will never be broken. Maxine's legacy of love, faith, and family will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
