Technical Sergeant Mickey Merrell, of The United States Air Force Security Forces, passed away at his home on Monday, September 28, 2020. He was born on March 31, 1969 in Royal Oak, Michigan but spent most of his life growing up in Missouri before joining the Air Force.
Mickey was preceded in death by his dad, Edward Merrell, sister Krenna Merrell, as well his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Robin and his children Brittany Merrell (Nigel), Alysha (Tim) Moslander, Whitney Hester, CJ (Megan) Litton-Merrell, Justin Merrell, Dalton (Lexi) Hester and Tyler Brown (Brenya). Mickey is also survived by twenty grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, his mother, Sandra Merrell of Marmaduke, brothers Mike (Kendra) Merrell of Michigan, Eddie Joe (Julie) Merrell of Missouri, James (Sandy) Rehagen of Oklahoma and mother-in-law MaryAnn (John) Huffman-Potter of Paragould.
He was a devout Christian man of the Baptist faith. Above all else on this earth, Mickey loved his wife and family most of all. In his spare time, he loved woodworking, shooting guns with his boys and playing with the babies.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould, AR. The funeral will be Friday, October 2, 2020, at 3:00pm with Andy Hudson and Gerald Gregory officiating.
