Peggy Simpson

Peggy Simpson, 77, of Light, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020. She was born May 23, 1943. Peggy was a Member of Walnut Corner General Baptist Church. She was a good bowler and roller skater. Peggy loved to fish, travel, play cards, play aggravation, and to just generally have fun.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Phillip Durham.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years and 10 months, Wayne Simpson; sons and daughters in law, Richard and Michelle Simpson, Grayson and Alicia Simpson, Chris and Savannah Simpson; grandchildren, Alayna, Landon, Jace, Chloe, Lynlee Jo, Kaleigh, Allen, Jordan; and great-grandchildren, Aspen, Alexis, Legend, Maddix, Dakota, and Tucker.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 10, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Walnut Corner General Baptist Church on Highway 228, south of Light. The funeral service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Walnut Corner General Baptist Church with Mark Walker and Dale Walker officiating. 
Richard Simpson, Grayson Simpson, Chris Simpson, Jace Simpson, Allen Simpson, and Landon Simpson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Kaleigh Remillard and Alayna Simpson.
