Stevy Joe Miller

Stevy Joe Miller, 68, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023.  He was born August 16, 1955, in Walnut Ridge, to Doyle “Baldy” and Joanna Miller.  He retired from Emerson Electric after 37 years. He was a man who loved his family dearly and was there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Steve also loved driving a tractor and combine for Pratt & Pratt Farms, riding his motorcycle, and side by side. In his younger years, he raced motorcycles and stock cars.  He was a member of Light Baptist Church, but attended Stanford Baptist Church.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle “Baldy” & Joanna (Maple) Miller and son, Jeremy Miller.

Steve is survived by his wife, Marylou Miller; sons, Scott and Jeff Miller of Paragould, AR; stepsons, Jeffrey Grimes of Paragould and Chris (Meghan) Grimes of Jonesboro AR; brother, Jimmy Doyle (Becky) Miller of Light, AR; grandchildren, Hunter, Andrew, Conner, and Alex Miller, Aiden, Jacob, Carsen, Reese, and Kellan Grimes; and his special girl, Sadie (dog).

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 21, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, at Phillips Funeral Home with Adam Bruton officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joe Pratt, Roger Beck, Randy Gray, Ricky Ellis, Tommy Justus, and Glenn Newberry.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Pratt, David Justus, James Beasley, Roger Allison, Charlynn Allison, Danny Lenderman, and the former Emerson maintenance men.

Donations may be made to Stanford Baptist Church or Siteman Cancer Center in St Louis, MO.
