Vendetta Sue Carlile, of Paragould, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021. She was born December 11, 1941, in Marmaduke, Arkansas, to Kirk A. and Gertrude (Jeffords) Lentz. Vendetta always dreamed about becoming a beautician, which she did for 36 years in her home. After retirement, she worked at CRA in the Cafeteria. She was a quiet woman and a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. She was a quiet encourager by sending cards for many occasions. Vendetta traveled with family to Costa Rica on many mission trips and loved the people there. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
Vendetta was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bertis Joy Lentz, Novella Huckabay and twin sister Pauletta Ellington; brothers, Martin Lentz and Charles Lentz.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Jerry W. Carlile; son Brett (Lisa) Carlile of Paragould; daughter, Andrea (Richard) Johnson of Jonesboro. Grandchildren, Megan (Dustin) Dancer, Brandon (Lacey) Johnson, Mallory (Sean) Mitchell, Bethanie (Seth) Coleman, Logan (Alye) Johnson. Great Grandchildren, Manning, Hallie, Oliver, Mattie, Silas, Haidyn, Emerson, Matthew, Lainey, Jude.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 10, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Seventh and Mueller Church of Christ. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Seventh and Mueller Church of Christ with Larry McFadden, Brett Carlile, Brandon Johnson and Logan Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Brown’s Chapel Cemetery.
Dustin Dancer, Sean Mitchell, Brandon Johnson, Logan Johnson, Seth Coleman, and Kirby Graves will serve as pallbearers.
