Viola May Bogan

Viola May Bogan, 91, of Paragould, passed away on Friday, June 05, 2020. She was born December 9, 1928, to Oliver and Ina Boswell. Viola loved to attend State Line Pentecostal Church in Mammoth Springs, AR when she was able. She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Bogan; son, Jerry Sanders; grandson, John Bolt, Jr.; siblings, Robert Minnick, Calvin Minnick, Johnny Minnick, Esther Hall, Violet Reynolds, Thelma Beasley, Martha Lamb, Iva George Minnick, Billy Minnick, Bubby Boswell, Troy Boswell, and Juanita Boswell.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Billy and Cathy Phillips; daughters and sons in law, Ruby and John Bolt, Betty and Dennis Madison; brothers, Bobby Minnick, Herschel Minnick, Charles Minnick; sisters, Wanda Lynch, Linda Davis, Sharon Walton, and Mary Brown; grandchildren, Billy Sanders, Timothy Sanders, Terry Sanders, Dewayne Sanders, Keith Phillips, Michael Phillips, Gwen Hoops, Dennis Madison, Jr., Robert Madison, Brandon Bolt, Krystal Bolt; and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 7, from noon until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Wayne Hurst officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery.

Viola’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
