Dennis “D. J.” Johnson, 59, of Paragould, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018. He was born December 3, 1958, to William Edward and Mary Ellen Johnson. D. J. loved to go fishing and hunting. He was a fan of Nascar Racing and enjoyed playing computer games. D. J. was a longtime member of the Church of Christ.
William was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Johnson and niece, Heather Dickinson.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Debbie Johnson; father and step-mother, Ed and Wilda Johnson; father and mother-in-law, Chuck and Pat Watson; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Chris Davis, Stephany Johnson and David Matthews all of Brookland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammie and Mark Jordan, Denise and Keith Wooldridge, Beverly and Allen Carroll; step-sisters, Donna Justus, Terry Taylor, Nita Reed; grandchildren, Ashlyn Matthews, Kiersten Isom, Brock Davis, Elijah Davis, Daniel Davis, Lexi Davis, Landyn Matthews; great-grandchild, Grayson Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 11 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Tim Wooldridge and Barry Joiner officiating. Burial will follow at Ramers Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Manuel Johnson, Archie Johnson, Mark Johnson, Chris Davis, David Matthews, Joe Stroud, and Brad Hoyer.
