Wilton Glen Ward

Wilton Glen Ward, 89, of Paragould, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023. He was born June 2, 1933, to Thomas and Pearl Ward. Glen was an Army Veteran and worked until retiring at General Motors and Paragould School District. He was a good man who loved his family immensely. He was a jokester, loved to dance, enjoyed gardening, and fishing. Above all, Glen loved God, his family, and his church, House of Prayer.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie Ward; daughter, Susann Rusaw; five brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors include his daughter, Glenda McPherson of Paragould, Lillian Ward of Taylor, MI; special son-in-law, Ralph McPherson; sister, Jean Lawhorn of Turlock, CA; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and special friend, Barbara Adams.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 12, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Monday, March 13, at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. David King officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.

The men of House of Prayer will serve as pallbearers. Jim Ward, Jim Downing, Henry Thierry, Max Poquette, and Ralph McPherson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
