Vernetta Jean (Moore) Lipper

Vernetta Jean Lipper, 81, of Paragould, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017.  She was born February 6, 1936, in Cardwell, Missouri, to Bud and Lula Moore.  Vernetta’s husband, Virgil, was a farmer and he relied on her help with all the farm work.  She was a very hard working woman.  In her free time, she enjoyed deer hunting.  Vernetta was a nurse at Senath Nursing Home for 20 years.

Vernetta was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Virgil Lipper; sister, Billie Jewel Durham; and brother, J.M. Moore.

Survivors include her sons and daughter in law, Larry Brannum and Mark and Kendra Lipper; daughter and son in law, Jacqueline and Terry Letson; grandchildren, Torrie Lipper Barrett, Brock Lipper, Elisha Wagner, Vickie Holder, Robby Donnell, Terrygene Letson, and Shane Letson; and numerous great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017, in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Terry Milburn.  Burial will follow at Cardwell Cemetery.

Shane Letson, Cyrus Luke, Brock Lipper, Derrick Donnell, Gavin Wagner, and James Brannum will serve as pallbearers.  Terrygene Letson and Donnie Lipper will be honorary pallbearers.
